2024 NYC Disability Pride Parade – Text Description
This document provides details on the route, lineup locations, and amenities for the 2024 NYC Disability Pride Parade.
Limited tactile maps will be available on parade day, along with volunteers at an Information Booth on the corner of East 24th Street and Madison Avenue for directions.
Disability Pride Parade Route
Start: Corner of East 26th Street and 5th Avenue (northwest corner of Madison Square Park)
Route: March down Broadway, make a left at East 16th Street, and turn into Union Square Plaza.
End: Union Square Park.
Lineup Locations at Madison Square Park
Lineup areas are located on the streets north and east of Madison Square Park, divided into five sections: A, B, C, D, E.
Section A:
Lined up on East 26th Street (between 5th Avenue and Madison Avenue). Marches towards 5th Avenue, then turns left onto Broadway.Section B:
Lined up on East 26th Street (between Madison Avenue and Park Avenue). Marches towards 5th Avenue, then turns left onto Broadway.Section C:
Lined up on Madison Avenue (between East 25th Street and East 26th Street). Marches north, turns left onto East 26th Street, heads west towards 5th Avenue, and turns left onto Broadway.Section D:
Lined up on Madison Avenue (between East 25th Street and East 24th Street). Marches north, turns left onto East 26th Street, heads west towards 5th Avenue, and turns left onto Broadway.Section E:
Lined up on East 25th Street (between Madison Avenue and Park Avenue South). Marches west on East 25th Street, turns right onto Madison Avenue, marches north, turns left onto East 26th Street, heads west towards 5th Avenue, and turns left onto Broadway.
Madison Square Park Amenities
Restrooms:
Southwest corner of Madison Avenue and East 26th Street.
Northwest corner of Park Avenue South and East 26th Street.
Northwest corner of Park Avenue South and East 25th Street.
Charging Station:
Located on the southwest corner of East 26th Street and Madison Avenue, across from Madison Square Park.Access-a-Ride Dropoff Area:
Located on East 24th Street (between Madison Avenue and Park Avenue South). After drop-off, head west on East 24th Street towards Madison Avenue to reach the lineup locations.
Disability Pride Parade Festival Area at Union Square
The parade ends at Union Square Park, where there will be a festival with music, a children’s area, and a resource fair. Additional details will be provided soon.
Union Square Park Amenities
Restrooms:
First set: West side of the park, past the information booths on your right.
Second set: Central north side of the park. When you enter and walk straight, they will be on your right.
Accessible Water Fountain:
Located on the northwest corner of Union Square Park, immediately on your left after entering the park at 16th Street.Charging Station:
A wheelchair charging station is also located on the northwest corner of Union Square Park, immediately on your left after entering the park at 16th Street.
